Tristan Arp is a producer, DJ and sound artist born in suburban Detroit. He is the co-founder of the label Human Pitch and a member of the experimental trio Asa Tone. Sculpturegardening, Arp’s second album, incorporates elements of ambient, glitch, microhouse and downtempo. It’s an otherworldly record populated by knotty modular textures, blossoming floral melodies,tight pointillist rhythms and glossy acoustic instrumentation. The record was born from a process of ‘collaborating with machines’: using modular synthesizers to generate probabilistic melodies and rhythms, with the artist taking on the role of sculptor and curator. Throughout, the boundaries between the organic and digital are playfully blurred: we hear synthesizers played by guitars; emotive and distinctly human melodies generated by modular circuits; digital percussion drummed by hand; and live cello processed with a digital finish.”

Svaneborg Kardyb, comprising Nikolaj Svaneborg (Wurlitzer, Juno, piano) and Jonas Kardyb (drums, percussion), is an award-winning Danish duo. They received two Danish Music Awards Jazz 2019: New Artist of the Year and Composer of the Year. Their music, influenced by Danish folk and Scandinavian jazz, skillfully combines beautiful melodies, minimalism, catchy grooves, electronica, and Nordic atmospheres, reflecting their joy in playing together. Their third album, ‘Over Tage’ (Over Roofs), is their most introspective and earnest yet. Described by the duo as their ‘strongest and most honest’, it navigates doubts and uncertainties, infused with hope and uplifting moments. This blend of elevation, thoughtfulness, and intimacy makes ‘Over Tage’ a compelling listen.

Robohands is the experimental solo/collaborative project of London based composer/ instrumentalist Andy Baxter. Shapes’ was finished in 2020, officially out out on King Underground in 2021.

Originally a side project to explore drumming techniques, ‘Robohands’ evolved into a more composition based endeavour with his records often featuring large arrangements and also solo instrument performances.
